This phenomenon was the concept of allowing thousands upon thousands of people play a game simultaneously using the chat service built into Twitch, an idea born as Twitch Plays Pokemon. Twitch Plays Pokemon was a ridiculous and epic adventure, with plenty of hilarious moments and memes coming from the experiment, such as a religious following for the Helix Fossil. Overall, Twitch Plays Pokemon was a success, with the players not only defeating Red, but eventually catching all of the 151 original Pokemon....

During a recent stream, towards the end of March, SmashGodxXx got into a violent argument with his girlfriend “Jess.” The streamer could be seen repeatedly asking her to leave the room. When she refused, SmashGodxXx lost his temper and turned the camera away for some time. In the background, viewers could hear what appeared to be the sound of heavy blows being delivered by the streamer. He turned the camera back in some time and proceeded to explain that everything was fine....

The stream initially began as a 24-hour marathon stream, but it ended up going beyond original plans.
