In a statement issued on Wednesday, Twitch explained that through the years its offered some top streamers unique contracts. Most Twitch streamers, and fans of Twitch streamers, know that the platform offers a standard 50/50 revenue split for subscriptions. If a subscriber pays $5, $2.50 goes to the streamer and $2.50 goes to Twitch. Some popular streamers have been offered better revenue splits, though, going up to 70/30 in their favor....

Sushipotato, who is half-Japanese and half-Irish, was recently forcibly removed from outside of what appears to be a club, being shoved, dragged by her backpack, and having her umbrella taken from her. The streamer was clearly upset by the incident, appearing obviously flustered after the confrontation took place. Overbearing fans seem to be common on Twitch and a problem many streamers face, as Twitch has become a more popular medium to gain stardom. Some fans have even taken it to the extreme to get the attention of their idols....

Popular Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys joined other well-known streamers such as CouRage, Corpse Husband, Sykkuno, and Valkyrae for Among Us games on the new Airship map. Although Pokimane seemed to enjoy the gameplay with her friends, towards the end of her stream, the content creator had a bit of constructive criticism for the map design. In 2017, Twitch announced it would be doing more than just streaming video games, but actually host videos and television episodes, like a marathon of Mister Roger’s Neighborhood. In doing this, Twitch grew its fan base to new places, even having more of an audience than HBO or Netflix. One of the major things that HBO or Netflix don’t have that Twitch does is a comments section, which can be an issue for the website and has led to harassment issues within the community....

The guidelines explain which parts of the body (on both males and females) can be visible and which cannot. Twitter Wipes QAnon-Related Accounts After a mob of pro-Trump protestors stormed Capitol Hill, Twitter decided to remove thousands of accounts that had ties to QAnon. The QAnon conspiracy theory became popular among some Trump supporters, and claims that Trump is battling against a dangerous “deep state” within the US government. In an update on the Twitter Blog, the platform announced that it banned accounts “that were primarily dedicated to sharing QAnon content....
