For those unaware, Dr. DisRespect was set to make his return to Twitch at 2:00 PM ET, but many viewers who logged into the site to check his channel wound up encountering a notice that it was unavailable. As of now, Dr. DisRespect’s live stream is back up and running, with lots of excited viewers awaiting his return now able to watch the streamer play some matches of Bluehole Studio’s popular Battle Royale title, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Naturally, Dr. DisRespect’s comeback on Twitch was bound to garner some huge views, and the fact that the site seemed to have buckled under the increased site traffic only speaks to the character’s popularity. However, he’s far from the first live streamer to give Twitch trouble with their return from hiatus, as the same thing occurred when League of Legends’ Tyler1 returned to the site in January upon Riot Games lifting his ban.
For the time being, it looks as if Dr. DisRespect is back to his fun and familiar antics while touting his “Champions Club” group, with the self-proclaimed “Face of Twitch” doing battle in PUBG. It seems as if there won’t be any more server issues today, but there are still hundreds of thousands of people checking in on the stream, with more than 300,000 viewers watching at the time of this writing.
